This Apple Banana Smoothie is super easy to make and perfect for a warm summer day. The combination of banana and apple makes this smoothie sweet, but not overly sweet!

If you are looking for other smoothies to try, my Pineapple Banana Smoothie is very similar! I also am a huge fan of my Strawberry Peanut Butter Smoothie. We can't forget about my Green Smoothie as well!
Why You Should Make This Apple Banana Smoothie
- It's extremely easy to make and takes less than 5 minutes!
- If you love the taste of apples and bananas, this is the smoothie for you.

Recipe Ingredients
Here are some notes on a few ingredients- please see the full ingredient list in the recipe card below!
- apple- I used Honeycrisp when testing this recipe, but you can use any apple you love! Some other good ones would be gala and fuji. If you like tartness, a granny smith would work as well!
- protein powder- Make sure you use high-quality protein powder when making smoothies, or else they won't taste great! This protein powder is my favorite.
Step-by-Step Instructions
Step 1: Add the apple, banana, milk, and protein powder to a blender. Add anything else to the smoothie you would like.
Step 2: Blend until smooth.
Step 3: Pour into your favorite glass and enjoy!
Tips and Tricks
- Use frozen bananas! I swear by this when making smoothies, it makes them so much more creamy!
- Add a veggie- my go-to for smoothies is frozen riced cauliflower. You can't taste it at all and it's a perfect way to sneak a veggie in. I would add about a ¼ cup to this smoothie. You could also add spinach or kale!
- Feel free to add anything you think would be good to this smoothie: chia seeds, flax seeds, peanut butter, almond butter, or extra fruit.
- If your smoothie is too thin, add ice cubes to blend and thicken it up. If it's too thick, just add extra liquid such as milk!
Storing & Freezing
This smoothie can be stored in an airtight container in the fridge for 1-2 days. Shake/stir or reblend before consuming.
You can also freeze this smoothie in a freezer-safe container. To thaw, allow it to sit in the fridge overnight or at room temperature for a few hours.
