Start your day off right with this creamy Strawberry Smoothie Bowl! Made with just 4 simple ingredients, this smoothie bowl is the perfect breakfast, plus you can add your favorite toppings!
Maybe you regularly have smoothies for breakfast, but what about a smoothie bowl? When I lived in California I went through a huge acai bowl phase, and the bowls out there are insanely good. We're talking creamy, sweet acai topped with the freshest fruit, crunchy cinnamon granola, and drizzled with lots of peanut butter. I knew I wanted to make something similar, but decided to test it with strawberries instead!
I love that this nourishing strawberry smoothie bowl is packed with fruit and protein. Plus, you can easily customize it! I’m always topping my smoothie bowl with homemade granola and nut butter, but you can add whatever toppings you like!

Why You'll Love This Recipe
- You only need 4 simple ingredients to make this creamy smoothie bowl.
- Because of the frozen fruit, this smoothie bowl is super creamy and perfect for Summer.
- It takes just 5 minutes to make, so it’s perfect for a quick weekday breakfast.
- You can easily customize it with your favorite toppings like granola, chopped fruit, or nut butter.
Ingredients
- Greek Yogurt: Greek yogurt is going to help pack a protein punch in this smoothie bowl! You can use non-fat, low-fat, plain or vanilla Greek yogurt. You can also easily swap it out for cottage cheese.
- Frozen Fruit: using frozen bananas and strawberries is the key to getting that super creamy texture. If you have fresh bananas and strawberries on hand, I recommend freezing them first.
- Milk: use whatever milk you have on hand! I used fairlife milk for added protein.
- Toppings: I love to add toppings to my smoothie bowls (arguably my favorite part)- to this bowl I added granola, chia seeds, shredded coconut, fresh strawberries, and a drizzle of peanut butter! The options are endless though, you can really add whatever you like on top of your smoothie bowl.

How to Make
Place all of the smoothie bowl ingredients in a high-power blender.
Blend on low-speed and then increase to high-speed until it’s completely smooth. If it’s too thick you can add more milk.
Pour into your favorite bowl, add toppings and enjoy!
Recipe Substitutions and Variations
- If you want to add even more protein, add a scoop of protein powder to the blender along with the rest of the smoothie bowl ingredients. I would use vanilla protein to go well with the flavor of this bowl.
- You can really go crazy with smoothie bowl toppings! Add nut butter, granola, dried fruit, nuts, goji berries, chia seeds, flax seeds, hemp seeds, bee pollen, cacao nibs, shredded coconut, or chopped chocolate!
- Drizzle over melted nut butter, honey, or maple syrup.
- Make it vegan or dairy-free by using a vegan milk and swap out Greek yogurt for coconut yogurt.
- If the smoothie bowl is too thin you can add more frozen strawberries to the blender. If it’s too thick then add more milk until you have your desired consistency!
Equipment Needed
I recommend using a high-powered blender to make this smoothie bowl. This is going to help give you a super smooth consistency.
How To Store
I recommend eating this smoothie bowl straight away. If you want to eat it later on, I would not add any toppings and store the smoothie in an airtight container in the fridge until ready to eat.
