Hi, I'm Kelly!
I'm the recipe developer, photographer, writer, taste-tester, and bacon lover behind Bake & Bacon. I create easy, comforting breakfast and baked goods recipes that feel special without being complicated, the kind you'll want to make again and again.


My love for food and baking started early on, growing up in a kitchen where my dad did the cooking and my mom handled the desserts. Add in endless Food Network marathons and childhood "cooking shows" filmed from our kitchen island, and it's no surprise food became a lifelong passion of mine!
I spent much of my life playing sports, including four years of Division II lacrosse, followed by time as a college coach. While I loved the game and coaching, my dream job was always something food-related. I daydreamed of becoming a wedding cake decorator, owning a bakery or coffee truck, or going to culinary school.
In 2020, when the pandemic cut my coaching season short, I finally gave food blogging a shot. What started as a creative outlet quickly turned into my dream job, and I haven't looked back since.
When I'm not in the kitchen, you'll find me behind the camera shooting for bloggers, brands, and restaurants, editing photos with a cup of coffee in hand (currently obsessed with a homemade iced maple praline latte), or walking my dog around our neighborhood.
5 Things About Kelly
- I currently live in Philadelphia, PA with my husband and dog, but Bake & Bacon has moved all over- it was started in Charlotte, NC and spent a few years in San Diego, CA!
- I'm a big homebody- we recently bought a house and I love spending my free time making it cozy, doing DIY upgrades, and snuggling on my couch by the fireplace.
- I played college lacrosse- I got to play in 2 National Championship games (sadly lost both), and later coached at the collegiate level.
- My favorite food is potatoes - in any form.
- I used to ride horses growing up & recently have been trying to get back into it as an adult. Someday I hope to own a hobby farm with horses, donkeys, and chickens.
