start by making the topping- flour, oats, brown sugar, salt, and cinnamon.
add in the cubed cold butter

use a pastry cutter or two forks to cut butter into dry ingredients until crumbly.

Peel & slice apples evenly. Toss with the brown sugar, cinnamon, vanilla, and salt.

Melt 2 tbsp of butter over medium heat in cast iron skillet. Once melted, remove from heat and add apples
you could also use a 9x13 pan

Spread the crumb topping all over the top of the apples

Bake for 40-50 minutes
Allow to cool for 10 minutes, then serve with ice cream!!
